Marc Jacobs Eats Junk Food, Models Don't Eat At All

Thanks to the kindness and generosity of this fella, I got to attend the Marc Jacobs show for Fall Fashion Week for the second time last night, with Curly. It didn't disappoint, either -- it was celebrity central, the clothes were beautiful, and we got to gawk at anorexic models getting their big hair and makeup done.

The photos are here. They aren't fantastic, because a digital camera on the red carpet doesn't really do the job, especially when there's some ANNOYING CHICK IN A BLACK DRESS WHO HAD TO STAND IN FRONT OF EVERYONE LIKE SOME SORT OF ANTI-PAPARAZZI SHIELD. So some are blurry, and I caught some people at a bad angle.

Here's what you won't see in the photos or video:

- Marc Jacobs, backstage, emptying the contents of a McDonald's bag (I think it was an Extra Value Meal) into his mouth with gusto.

- Courtney Love, looking better than she's looked in probably a year, snubbing the red carpet and sneaking around the back to her seat.

- Michael Stipe, hanging out with Heath Ledger.

- Padma Lakshmi, sitting front and center and watching the show intently, looking gorgeous in a long yellow gown.

- Anna Wintour, wearing sunglasses throughout the entire show, getting up and running out with her daughter, secret-agent style, the moment that the last model left the stage. She did it as though she was being sneaky and no one would notice. I think she thought she had brought her "invisible" sunglasses instead.
