All Britney, All the Time

Kudos to the Associated Press for releasing a story today giving media outlets the smackdown for calling Britney "fat." An article published today on CNN, entitled, "Britney was bad, yes. But fat?", says:

But what about the nastiest comments of all -- those about her body? "Lard and Clear," read Monday's headline in the New York Post. "The bulging belly she was flaunting was SO not hot," wrote E! Online. And so on.

Well, said, Associated Press. Oh, but wait. What was that you said in that article yesterday? You know the one -- Lackluster Britney Spears kicks off MTV awards?

Out-of-synch lip-synching. Lethargic movements that seemed choreographed by a dance instructor for a nursing home. The paunch in place of Spears' once-taut belly. At times she just stopped singing altogether, as if even she knew nothing could save her performance.

If that was a "paunch," I am nine months pregnant.

Also, leave Britney alone, okay? You're making Chris Crocker cry.
