Overheard in Upstate New York

At the Fuller Roadhouse, the night after Thanksgiving.

Marina: I always rate bars based on how likely it is that the gang rape scene from The Accused could happen there.

Me: Based on what?

Marina: Layout, guy-to-girl ratio, bouncer size, stuff like that.

Me: Interesting. So what would you give this place?

Marina: Well, there are a lot more guys than girls here. Plus, there's that semi-private area in the back where the pool table and dartboard are. Once the band starts playing, no one would hear anything that happened back there. So an 8, maybe a 9.

Me: On a scale of?

Marina: One to ten.

Me: So I guess we should skip playing pool, then.

Marina: Probably.
